JOB DESCRIPTION

Supervise the service in Rheumatology department. Works as Consultant in the department. Participate and implement the hospital policies and procedures.  Cooperate with other departments to facilitiate the service. Monitor the service in Rheumatology department. Any other assignment given by the Chief Medical Officer or the Management. Report monthly to the Chief Medical Officer about Rheumatology service. Prepare the monthly schedule for the Rheumatologists. Coordinate with the Management to improve the service in Rheumatologist department. Coordinate with different departments to facilitate the service. Covering the Out-patient service in OPD. Doing on-call according to the schedule prepared and respond to emergency calls. Responsible for management of In-patients admitted under his care and doing daily rounds. Participate in hospital Continuous Education program and other related meetings of infection control, safety and performance improvement to keep updated with the current practices. Responds to consultations from different department. Participate in different medical committees as required.

Planning for future needs of the department for improvement. Evaluate the service in Rheumatology department and give suggestions to improve it. Evaluate the efficiency of the medical staff and report to the management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

PhD Doctoriate from Arabic Country or equivalent qualification from a Western Country. Must hold a valid license to practice in medicine.

Five years experience in a similar position in a large hospital.
